As a group, we choose songs based on their testimony, style, and how we feel it would minister to people, among other things. Not too long ago, I came across such one that has stirred my spiritual fire! In the song, “He Locked The Gates,” the writer speaks of salvation, and how the day we surrender to Him, Christ locks the gates of hell behind us, and throws the key away! My what a thought!! A key line on the second verse says, “and when I fail, I plead the blood, alive and well, it’s still enough!” If that doesn’t stir your fire, I don’t know what will! I’m so thankful to say that even in 2025, that precious blood that was shed on Cavalry is still enough!! Aren’t you thankful today for salvation and His ultimate sacrifice? * David *
